The late Richard Laviolette’s band will perform the songs from his last album “All Wild Things Are Shy” together with guest vocalists. The band is: Jessy Bell Smith, Rich Burnett, Ally Corbett, Jordan Howard, Matt Reeves, and Dave Snider.

Richard Laviolette wrote, rehearsed, and recorded “All Wild Things Are Shy” during the last five years of his life, in the time between his mother’s death from Huntington’s Disease and his own. As with much of his earlier work, the songs on this album confront death and mortality directly, while also affirming love, life, and a fundamental belief in the ability of music to bring people together.

This show will also be an album release show for Magpie’s new record “Concessions”. Magpie is a collective of songwriters with four distinct lead vocalists. Their new (and third) full length album “Concessions” braids rock-tinged alternative folk with poignant and poetic lyrics that navigate the nuances of despair, grief, love and reckoning.
