The mission is simple; water safety education saves lives! As a certified water rescue technician, outdoor education specialist, and early childhood educator; I am particularly motivated by Canada’s staggering drowning statistics where drowning is the leading cause of preventable death in children aged 1 to 4, and the second leading cause of death in children, aged 5 to 14. iSUP Saugeen is a mobile surf shop that specializes in Great Lakes coastal exploration and adventure-based learning. The surf shop coordinates two main categories of service; childhood development and adventure tourism. iSUP’s waterfront education programs are designed to nurture future generations of adventures, encourages youth to develop open water lifesaving skills, and empowers childhood development through play, exploration, and outdoor education. iSUP also hosts Great Lakes inspired ecotourism experiences that unite the local tourism industry with drowning prevention.
