Celebrating the 162nd Emancipation Festival – August 2 - 4
Join us to celebrate the 162nd Owen Sound Emancipation Festival and commemorate Emancipation Day. Festivities include Speaker’s Corner (Grey Roots Museum & Archives on August 2), Picnic & Festival (Harrison Park on August 3), a Gospel Sunday (Moreston Village, Grey Roots Museum & Archives on August 4) and more! Excited to welcome and strengthen family and community connections, so come out and enjoy a stellar line-up of speakers, performers and lots of other activities being planned for this signature event this summer! Enjoy performances this weekend from the M`Wikwedong Indigenous Friendship Centre Drummers, the Blackburn Brothers, Kaiya Cade Smith Blackburn, Joel Morelli, Liberty Silver, David Sereda & Choir, remarks and more!
