Bargello is a traditional needlepoint technique that uses precise sequences of upright stitches. The patterns and designs were historically done on canvas but can be adapted to more modern applications using newer materials. This durable stitching technique is well suited for pillow or clothing appliques. She has specialized in textile design techniques including fabric dyeing, painting, surface embellishments, and fabric manipulation. As a costume dyer and decorator, Pam has worked for CBC, The National Ballet of Canada (Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker Suite, Romeo and Juliet, The Taming of the Shrew, Firebird ), The Canadian Opera Company (Madame Butterfly, Norma, The Golden Ass, Idomineo), Livent (Phantom of the Opera), and Mirvish Productions (Miss Saigon, Crazy for You, Mama Mia, The Lion King), as well as a number of feature films and made-for-TV movies.
