
ACRYLIC PAINTING - SPRING LANDSCAPE
DESCRIPTION Kim will guide you through the techniques used to achieve; fresh, inspired paintings. In the morning, you will do some exercises, thinking about composition on paper and playing with line, brushstrokes, and application of paint with a little colour theory worked in for good measure. In the afternoon you'll put your favourite composition from the morning exercises onto a canvas. This intimate masterclass will help practicing artists hone their skills or introduce aspiring painters to the art of landscape painting. Raised in rural Ontario, Kim moved to Toronto to attend the Ontario College of Art and Design and stayed. Recently re-locating from Toronto to Owen Sound, Kim's fascination with the colours and textures of the world has kept her and her brush wandering. Kim is a frequent exhibitor in group shows in Toronto, Ontario; Saint John, New Brunswick; New York City, New York; Palm Desert, California; as well as numerous other locations. Her most recent solo shows have taken place at the Bugera Matheson Gallery and the Parts Gallery.
